Pride and Prejudice

The 1944 film staring Greer Garson & Laurence Olivier

This film was one of the very first Period Films that I ever watched.  On TV late at night before cable (oh my dated myself).  The Costumes are not accurate to Jane Asutin's time period (which was the Regency Period), Instead they did some kind of funky mixed period of the 1830's. 

It is the fine acting of Ms. Garson and Mr. Olivier that carry this film.  The character actors are great too.  Still, I really liked the costumes.
