I really love this pink skirt.

The Blue jacket is very nice as well

I've not even seen the movie yet but I love the fashions.  Kirsten said in an interview on Entertainment Tonight that she had 60 costumes!

A great thing about a movie recreation is that you don't have to worry about historical accuracy.  The movie is giving us the feel of the era with modern overtones.  The skirts during this period had the hips much further out than on these of the movie.

I just bought the movie DVD and I'm very glad I did.  There are so many dresses to chose from it will be hard to pick.

What's this!!!  The tune is "I want candy"..check out the sneakers and this made it into the movie...wow very funny.   I like this Blue Dress.

More on that blue dress

This is one of the more subdued gowns and I like it because it doesn't have the cape like drape from the back shoulders.  I found out the pink skirt dress does have one and the jacket really looks like a lot of tailoring.  Here in this blue gown which Marie sends off her husband Louis XVI to his hunt.  She's telling him that she wishes to become pregnant before his younger brother's wife does.  7 years to wait till they consummate the marriage sounds like a very long time to us today, but they got married at age 15 or so.  It makes a little more sense then.  They did know that having children at a young age yourself was not healthy.
